Nicole Schlaefli
Senior Injury Epidemiologist, City of Kansas City Department of Health
Nicole has over a decade of experience working in the Public Health field and with non-profits at both the state and local levels. She has worked mostly in Emergency Response field in the areas of Acute Disease, Blood borne Infections, Environmental Health, and as a Syndromic Surveillance Specialist. With the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine in 2021, she took on the role as a Public Health Operations Specialist with a focus on equitable distribution of the COVID vaccines with the State of Oklahoma Department of Health.
She currently serves as the Senior Injury Epidemiologist for the City of Kansas City Department of Health in Missouri where she focuses mainly on Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse. She is currently the Coordinator for the Overdose Fatality Review Board, co-chair of the Kansas City Metro Data Collective, and Data Chair for the Northland Health Alliance Mental and Behavioral Health Committee.
