Pam Farber, RN, EMT-P
Pam has been working with FirstWatch for more than ten years, first as a Clinical Advisor, and then as Public Health Advisor. She provides us with information and related articles on infectious disease outbreaks & other public health issues, first responder health & safety, and pandemic awareness & planning, often adding how EMS & other first responders can put this information to use.
She has worked in medicine for 40 years, first as an RN, then adding firefighter/paramedic, with more than two and a half decades as the Paramedic Instructor, Infection Control Officer, & IAED EMD Instructor for a busy urban fire-rescue department. Pam also provided expertise in bioterrorism & MCIs, haz-mat/toxicology, first responder occupational health, medicolegal issues, CQI & medical chart review, and policy & protocol development. She served as past chair & current member of the IAED CBRN Committee and volunteer faculty for a nearby university.
In her down time, she enjoys spending time with her family & friends, interacting with nature (both flora & fauna), and helping others navigate the health care system.
