Dave Amaya joined FirstWatch after nearly three decades of experience in the public safety industry. As a regional sales manager, Dave cultivates long-lasting relationships in new and existing customers in central and northeastern regions of the U.S. He says he looks forward to expanding the FirstWatch footprint by matching needs with solutions. “I love working for a company that supports people in public safety with their daily tasks.”

Dave began his career in law enforcement, working as a Sheriff Deputy in Los Angeles and then as a Police Officer in Kansas, where he served in patrol and as a sniper on the SWAT team. He transitioned to public safety software sales in 2004, where he used his experience in law enforcement to understand and better assist customers.

In his free time, Dave enjoys spending time with his wife, riding his 2018 Harley Davidson motorcycle, watching football with friends, playing guitar, and camping trips. He enjoys 80’s Hair Metal and can name the tune and the band in a few beats. Dave is also a master on the barbecue grill!
