Fire & Fire RMS Software Solutions

FirstWatch helps fire departments monitor and make sense of their data to improve performance and enhance situational awareness. Automated, fire-centric reporting and real-time, web-based data-visualization tools provide comprehensive insight into the health of your agency and response area. Monitor your department’s performance against defined operational and clinical objectives, as well as provide early warnings and automated alerts for incidents such as fires, major events, hazardous material incidents, multi-casualty incidents, terrorist threats, and more.

Key Benefits for Fire Departments

Almost any information captured by CAD, fire RMS, ProQA, ePCR, or hospital systems can be monitored by FirstWatch. This automated process ensures there is no need for new training or any changes in how staff currently works. If you get a new system? No problem. Our implementation team will get it up and working seamlessly with the rest.

The result? A more comprehensive snapshot of your department’s health, as well as your community’s needs – all with the ability to instantaneously drill down to specific issues and incidents as they evolve. Simply put, FirstWatch provides data-driven situational awareness and institutional accountability.

Advantages and Benefits of FOAM for the Accreditation/Analysis Process

Fire departments are increasingly turning to technology and real-time data to measure performance and operational benchmarks using FirstWatch. This includes automated analysis and reporting against criteria established by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) criteria and Commission for Fire Accreditation International (CFAI). Our FOAM solution (Fire Operations Analytics/Analysis Module) provides comprehensive data analysis and dashboard views for your fire management and operations teams. It provides views by department total, fire suppression, EMS, hazmat, tech rescue, and risk response categories, in addition to Annual Compliance Reports.

FirstWatch fire service solutions integrate data from:

The synthesis and analysis of disparate data sources into a comprehensive whole is what we do. Whether it’s graphical presentation of overall system status or trigger alerts due to specific data abnormalities, FirstWatch can help your fire department do more with data.

Improve Your Fire Department’s Performance & Enhance Situational Awareness

Improved Operational Performance

FirstWatch monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) in real time, such as: response times by zone, crew or unit, or chute times, reflex times, or turn out times, in addition to other key performance measures. This allows fire service leaders to monitor and track performance benchmarks in real-time. This includes monitoring factors such as hospital wall times (APOT) and time lost to transfer of care. Our Demand Analysis and Resource Planner modules allow you to create demand charts and improve staffing for operational efficiency.

Dashboards for Intuitive Data Visualization

FirstWatch dashboards are viewable on iPad, iPhone, and other web-connected mobile devices, so users can quickly and easily see the status of criteria. Android? Our team has experience building thousands of dashboards and reports, ensuring your data is intuitive and accurate at a glance.

Early Earning Utility & Sentinel Event/Situational Awareness Alerts

At the same time it’s monitoring KPIs, FirstWatch can also be configured to alert for early signs of a fire, hazmat incident, CBRN attack, or for naturally occurring events like epidemics.

FirstWatch can also be used to reduce workload and increase awareness by automating key notifications for sentinel or situational awareness events, such as reports of a suspicious package found near a high-threat facility, brush  fire, or MCI events, to name a few.

Customized Alerting

When a trigger goes off, identified personnel are immediately notified. This can be via text message (SMS), email, pager, or fax. For sample fire triggers, click here.

Yes. We are keenly aware of the efforts underway with the National Emergency Response Information System and look forward to working in that environment.

Very little. FirstWatch experts do the vast majority of the implementation work. Your team will work with our integrations department, identifying your needs and the needs of your community. Our team does most of the work.

We have experience integrating with most CAD and RMS vendors, large and small. With more than 26 years experience working with emergency services, the chances are we have worked with your vendor and have an established relationship in integrating their system into your reports and triggers.

The answer to this question depends on the complexity of your systems and the questions you’d like to ask of your data. The more complex, the more refinement is usually required. But, generally speaking, our FOAM module requires about four months to get established, with a period of refinement thereafter.

Yes, we offer training and support. FirstWatch customer service is, in fact, a point of pride and a big reason for our success over the last 26 years. Are we serving the customer correctly? Are we getting there on time? Are we sending the right resources?

Having this system and being able to directly pull out or infer answers is so much faster than going to our technical services department and asking them to generate a report. Having the information already sorted is extremely valuable–all coming off in a very standard way once I create a trigger. I can build data models and manipulate them very rapidly.

The technical customer support is phenomenal. Issues are resolved almost immediately because they’re very responsive and very helpful.
