Sessions we’ll be in:

Precon: Moving the Dots
1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
108
Mike Taigman, Improvement Guide

We have an abundance of problems, including high turnover, high denial rates, medication shortages, long wall times, ambulances on backorder, and more. In this session, you’ll learn a proven strategy to make meaningful improvements in the areas that matter most to you and your organization.

Tuesday, June 27

Turn Them Off!
1:00 pm – 1:50 pm
108
Mike Taigman, Improvement Guide

Lessons learned from the first-ever national EMS performance improvement collaborative focused on improving safety by reducing the percentage of 911 calls where lights and sirens are used for response and transport. When considering adding a new medication to our protocols, we evaluate the probable benefit with the possible risk. If lights and sirens were a medication, it would be the only one in our protocols that has a risk of injury or death to the provider in addition to the patient. During this session, you’ll learn how to reasonably reduce the use of lights and sirens, improving safety for your patients, providers, and community.
