COVID-19 Update 2/25/20

Questions and Answers

Description:

This webinar was the 3rd COVID-19 webinar and provided an update on COVID-19, specifically as it relates to emergency call centers, paramedic and EMS services, and other responders.

Also presented, the pediatric implications and potential EMS system impacts to support advanced planning.  Like most disaster pre-planning there is little guidance and experience in this area because pre-planning for children is not considered.  In contrast communities are very concerned about their children even though the risk at this time appears to be low in terms of severity of illness.

Just think if the first transport presented in the first webinar was not an adult but a 2 year old.  How would that scenario been changed? PPE, patient assessment, parent accompanying, destination, EMS provider reactions and behavioral health, etc.
