Overdose on cell phone

Overdoses continue to plague communities throughout the US and Canada. One North American EMS system recently had 245 overdoses in a single day. Identifying, tracking, and mapping overdoses is key to effective intervention. During this engaging session, we will explore cutting-edge technology that EMS systems use to tackle this problem in near real-time.

You’ll learn:

  • How to identify suspected overdoses cases using Computed Aid Dispatch – CAD and Electronic Patient Care – ePCR data
  • How communities are using near real-time data related to overdose
  • How FirstWatch and ODMAP collaborate to help systems understand when and where overdoses happen
